Hydrogen as a Fuel

Hydrogen as a Fuel

Summary

All energy needs could be met by the use of hydrogen. The use of hydrogen would solve two main problems; one it would reduce the amount of pollution and green house gas emission created, and two as there is a nearly limitless supply it could solve our dependence on fossil fuel or other finite energy sources.
Hydrogen can be produced from biomass. This could either be from organic household waste, waste from agriculture or even from crops grown especially for the purpose.
As a fuel in cars hydrogen would be economic, environmentally friendly and safe. Already cars are being designed which run on fuel cells which convert hydrogen and oxygen to water and produce electrical current.
There are a number of problems with exploiting hydrogen technology. One is that there is not yet an infrastructure to support this change. The transition will involve a massive upheaval and it is necessary to build up an infrastructure to make it possible. Technolog...
