Humans Being

What is a human being? Throughout history, perhaps ever since the first neurons of Homo Sapiens Sapiens’s cerebral cortex fired, this has been a primary poser.

Science and other religions have placed their ideas on the table, but few actually encompass the true nature of the so-called human entities.

Most religions focus upon the nature of our existence as a kind of test for some immortal soul, which is purported to exist inside us all. The soul is said to exist in the vessel of the body, which seems to be an acceptable idea as long as one is not a member of the Heaven’s Gate contingent. Preaching reverence and honoring this soul is endemic to the world’s religious rhetoric, but more frequently takes a back seat to slaughtering the vessels of those who may disagree.

Science attempts to distance itself from other religions, by all but denouncing the existence of a soul and focusing attention on the physical here and now. This is fine, but it is biased towards the limited...
