Human Weakness
The book Of Mice and Men written by John Stienbeck is a novel set in the depression. Where some people roam from place to place to get a job to make ends meet. Others like George and Lennie travel together and help each other. Some characters in this book don’t get along so well with their fellow man and pounce on any chance they have to bring out the worst in others.
One thing in life humans try to do is to build themselves up by pushing others down or making sure nobody is better than them. Curley is a prime example of this because he will always picks fights that he knows he can win. If he fights big guy others say, “Oh that big guy should pick on someone his own size.” If he beats up someone his size, and he knows that he is better and he wins, it makes him look like a tough good guy.
