In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Huck Finn changes throughout the book, both for good and for bad. Huck Finn learns manners, praying, and finally that white people and black people are the same.
Miss Watson teaches Huck, in great detail, about manners while he is staying with her. She teaches him to pray every night, to eat properly, and to respect others. Huck didn’t like the way that the Widow was making him change. Huck is use to running around in the same old dirty pair of clothes and just living his life the way he wants because he has never had anyone to teach him the proper ways to live. Huck would just love to go out and do his own thing without having to pray, dress up, or be respectful to others. Huck always felt bad if he upset Miss Watson because she was such a nice lady.
