How would society change if marriage no longer existed?

I
believe that many men would consider this a ticket to complete
freedom from any and all commitments to relationships. Without
marriage, the father will most likely will deny paternity and refuse to
pay any child support. All responsibility of support would fall on the
mother.
Women would be shouldered with the responsibility of supporting
the children resulting from these relationships. This would increase the
number of women and children at the poverty level and also their
dependence on public assistance because many woman lack job skills,
education and experience. The high cost of quality child care is usually
unaffordable when the mother does find work.
Level of education generally determines the skill level of women
and the pay level of jobs made available to them. Health benefits that
were a benefit in a marriage would no longer exist and these women
