How to Tie-Die

In order to start the tie-dying process, a few items need to be purchased; one 100 percent cotton fabric, rubber gloves, a tub or container, dyes, rubber bands, garbage bags and newspaper. These items can be found in a local craft store or laying around the house. Here are some basic instructions for tie-dying along with some helpful hints and tips.
The first thing to do is wash the item to remove any sizing from the manufacturer or anything else that may have gotten on it. Then a design needs to be picked out. There are many designs to choose from, or one can be made up.
