HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL DJ

If one is a beginning disc jockey in the night club or the private party business, with intentions of being successful, the following are skills needed to do so: Knowing the crowd of customers, good music programming skills, and most importantly, being charismatic. These three things will be told to any beginning DJ by an expert on the subject. When getting to know the crowd, it does not mean knowing the customers individually, but rather the crowd as a whole, allowing the disc jockey to immediately recognize what kind of approach is needed to ensue when performing. First of all, getting to know the customers in any establishment, or at a private party, can be summed up simply by stating, “Watch and learn them.” By getting to know the customers, the DJ can almost automatically understand how much work is needed to show the people a good time.
