A Simple Home


As you drive down the rocky road of College Grove, you see a lot of elaborate southern style homes, but as you arrive at 216, there is a simple white house trimmed in green. When you pull in the slightly dipped drive way, you notice three things. An old basketball hoop that hasn’t been used in ages, a freshly cut lawn, and chalk drawing from a nine year old child. You take notice to the “I Love Mommy” on the sidewalk as you walk towards the front door. You see a latch with the name Gunter inscribed in it. You knocked twice and ring the door bell once, and an young mother with blonde hair will open the door to greet you. She pleasantly says, “Welcome to our humble abode,” as you walk in. As you step up one step on to a blue tiled doorway, a gold blue heron painting stares you in the eye from the wall in front of you.
