HIV

I thought it was interesting to know more information about HIV. The more research that we do on HIV, the more we know and hopefully it may lead to a cure and also to control the infection level. The seminar would make people be more aware of HIV and to be careful when sexual contacts are made. It existed early 80’s and killed about 18 million people. Now, one out of three people are affected in Africa like Central West Africa, Belgium Congo and other regions. It origin might come from Chimpanzees to human. People were in contact with chimp by hunting or having it as a pet. The first documented case in Africa in 1959 in Congo. Poliovirus vaccine made in primate cells could have been found in chimp cells. Chimp kidneys were removed and shipped to the USA, but there were evidences against poliovirus vaccine because vaccine implicated and used in trials was not make in chimp cells, instead of money kidney cell, and chimp kidneys never shipped to the USA.
