History Of Tenby Introduction Tenby or Dinbych-y-Pysgod as it is known as in Welsh, is a small coastal town in Pembrokeshire, south west Wales. It is about fourteen and a half kilometres south of Narberth and is approximately fifteen and a half kilometres east of Pembroke. Tenby is situated on the A478. Tenby is the only town actually situated within the boundaries of the Pembrokeshire National Park.
