High Performance Team

Completing learning team assignments among a group with no previous knowledge of one another’s skills, abilities, interests, or goals, is difficult. Until we become a team, we are only a group with common interests. We were selected individuals all with the common interest of business management, put together to become a team that achieve delegated tasks. “Teamwork of this type is the central foundation of any high performance team” (p.101). We are a functional group with the common goal of learning the skills of management, working in teams, and completing tasks. High performance teams have characteristics common to all, regardless of the function. Our group is unique and therefore the suggestions or characteristics need to be applied to our team specifically.
