Hegemony or Dominance

Hegemony is defined as, “Leadership; preponderant influence or authority; -- usually applied to the relation of a government or state to its neighbors or confederates.” This form of rule receives generous approval of the governed and brings stability and technological improvements to the people. The term “dominance” is characterized as “the power to exercise authoritative or dominating control or influence over;” This form of regulation requires the establishment and the maintenance of a massive army to overcome foreign powers and keep the conquered disciplined.
