Heart Problems Today

General Purpose: To Convince
Specific Purpose: To convince my audience that heart problems are a growing problem in the world.
Central Idea: Help people learn how to take care of their heart.

I. Attention Material
a. Not to long ago my dad had to leave work due to a dull pain in his chest.
b. When he tried to get an appointment at his doctor’s office they did not have any open.
c. So he decided to go to the AM/PM clinic.
d. After the doctor at the clinic checked him over she decided to have him go the emergency room.
e. When he got there they said that he might have Angina which is a pain or discomfort in your chest that involves blood flow to the heart.
f. The decided to keep him over night to observe his condition. He did not believe that he had a serious problem but the doctors wanted to make sure.
