Hearsay evidence

the law of evidence generally has rules and regulations on their applications so that evidence can be properly introduced in court.

Many scholars have tried to define hearsay according to Hoffmann and Zeffertt hearsay evidence is evidence whether oral or in writing , the probative value of which depends upon the credibility of any other person other than the person giving the evidence.

It has also been defined as a statement made by a person who is testifying in documents produced in court when no witness is testifying.
