This essay will explore why an understanding of physiology and its processes in the human body are important to an understanding of human health.
Physiology is the scientific discipline that deals with a process of function of a living thing. Studying physiology helps us to understand how the body can maintain conditions internally while there is a constantly changing external environment.
There are two key issues to learning:

a) To understand how the body maintains levels within itself through different methods while outside there is a constantly changing environment.
b) To understand and diagnose problems that may have occurred, thus provide an explanation as to why it may have happened and subsequently predict the body¡¦s response to certain stimuli.
