Has there been a rise of racism in contemporary Europe? How have sociologists attempted to explain the changing fortunes of extreme right parties?

It is a fact known by everyone that the world we live in has a major problem in reference with racism, particularly in Europe. In current years the fortunes of extreme right parties throughout Europe have dramatically changed. It has been attempted by sociologists to explain why this has happened using various theories and important factors.

It is important to firstly understand what racism is, the different aspects of racism and whether or not there has been a rise in contemporary Europe. Racism is a "belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an interest superiority of a particular race.
