Statement of intention

This piece is based on a personal experience that happened to a friend of mine, and affected him for life. Every now and then I would find myself rather lucky as such tragic happened to a young man. Hoping the audience will learn a lesson and cherish every aspect of life.

Birthday¡KThis word has no meaning to me any more. For many people birthday is an event with happiness brought to them. A date which they feel special about and a time with family and friends, celebrating another year has past for that special someone. But that meaning has abandoned me since my sixteenth birthday, leaving me with hatred and loneliness in my inner heart.

There was seven more days till my sixteenth birthday. I couldn¡¦t wait. I had always wanted to have a birthday party, inviting everyone I felt comfortable with. My parents had arranged a party room held in a fancy restaurant down the road from my house. Invitations were sent out personally to...
