Half Life 2

Ok, so the release date is suppose to be the 30th of this month, yes? and recently we've found out that thats also the release date for the benchmark HL2 demo thing.

I'm thinking if its not going to happen then we will hear within the next 5 days about a release date slippage if any.

When I first heard about the 30th I was thinking that the game would go Gold on that date, coz obviously if its going to be released on that date it would have to have gone gold already, But having said that, with this steam stuff, then it could go gold and live on the same day.

Unfortunatly my hopes are pretty high for it going gold on the 30th so that means it'll be 3 weeks before it hits NZ shops...
But somehow I think we'll find out that its going to be put back till maybe Christmass?
