Why do I think gun control will help? Day by day more lives are lost. Can we do anything to stop this? Gun control sounds like a good idea. The Gun Control law consists of stricter background checks, limits the purchase of guns, and raises the legal age limit for ownership of guns to age 21 from the current age of 18. No reasonable person doubts the fundamental connection between the number of guns there are in a society and the prevalence of gun homicides, accidents and suicides.

Violence no matter where it occurs is usually a traumatic, tragic event, but when it happens in our schools to our children, it is an extraordinarily shocking occurrence. On April 20 1999 fourteen students and a teacher were murdered in Columbine High School by 2 other students. The guns used in this massacre where illegally purchased at a gun show.
