Great Figures in Ethics

Martin Luther King was born on the 15th January 1929 and died in 1968. His mission in life was to serve others and to help black people be able to live in harmony with white people. His visions and goals were simple- he wanted complete liberation and freedom of mankind and the elimination of injustices that were put upon blacks. He was born into a country that was divided in white and black. His family home was in Georgia (Atlanta) and as a child he was educated in Atlanta before going to Atlanta University and then to Morehouse College and completed his education on 1953. He attained his PhD in 1955.
He wanted change for the black people and freedom for them. He believed all human beings were equal and fought for racial equality. He was definitely inspired by Mahatma Gandhi for his struggle to free India from the British rule.
