Graduation

Thank you ****** for your inspiring words ( or something appropriate)

Graduation: According to the Collins’ dictionary a graduate is “a student who has completed a course of studies… and received a diploma.” I personally feel that that definition is rather inadequate. It rather simplifies the process that all of you as students and you as parents and you (and I) as teachers have gone through to make today a reality. When I think back upon this past year, graduation means a lot more than some dictionary definition.

Graduation: the process of prodding children out of bed, insisting that they actually bathe and brush their teeth, eat some sort of breakfast, quickly finish the homework that they swore they finished the night before and piling them into the family or car pool vehicle to arrive at school on time.

Graduation: the process of unending homework, killer tests, teachers and parents who just don’t get it. The lost weekends; the uncertainty of the phone call home ...
