Graduation Speech

Parents, family, friends, faculty, and the Class of 2003:

Tonight we celebrate the completion of 12 years of schooling and look toward to what will be in store for us in the future. It has been a long road for most of us, and a difficult one for some, but the fact is, we made it. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once stated “ What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

From every trial that we have been through, from every sorrow that we have endured, and from every triumph that has ultimately shown through, I know that we, the third graduating class of the new millennium, are all ready to plunge into the real world. Friends, family, teachers ... we've all reached the end of this long journey tonight, and here we must part paths. And what can we say about our years here? Have we made a difference? Wi...
