Global Warming -need for reform

Global warming is a major issue when discussing the Earth’s environmental future. Many organizations around the world have been developed to investigate the problem of global warming, but there have been little or no results. There is a need for a dramatic reform in the way environmental issues are dealt with, if there is to be any hope of improving the situation.

According to the National Academy of Sciences, the Earth's surface temperature has risen by about 1 degree Fahrenheit in the past century, with accelerated warming during the past two decades. There is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming over the last 50 years can be attributed to human activities. Human activities have altered the chemical composition of the atmosphere through the buildup of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide.
