Giving Birth To A Preemie


Giving birth to a preemie was a life-altering experience, which has made me stronger. I was six in a half months pregnant when I gave birth to my son, Isaac. On October 31, 2002 at 6:00 A.M I started having sever contractions. Previously the doctor put me on some pills to stop cramping and contracting. I decided to take them, but they just did not work. So that is where it all began.
After waking up my husband from bed, I told him I had never felt this much pain. I was in the worst pain I have ever experienced even with my first child. I started crying, because the pain was so intense. All of a sudden I felt like I had to use the restroom. That is when I found out I was bleeding. That is when my husband said, “Lets go to the hospital”.
When we arrived at the hospital the nurse checked the babies heart-beat and it was fine. It was great listening to the heart, that reassured me that the baby was OK. The nurse decided to give me some me...
