The Old Testament and Gilgamesh
The two books have several similarities, and yet at the same time have many discrepancies. The reader is confronted with a dilemma, as he or she has to choose either work in order to validate their choice. Genesis speaks of a God that loves, and at the same time shows Him as a God of Justice. Gilgamesh describes gods that are inconsiderate and not loving.
