Gentle Ben

In Orca City, a five-year-old brown bear named Ben has chained in Fog Benson¡¦s old shed. Later, Fog wants to sell Ben, but thirteen years old Mark Andersen knows people will kill the Ben. He begs his father, Karl, to buy Ben, and his father says he will buy him.
One rainy, winter night Benson¡¦s friends laugh at him that he can¡¦t command Ben. He wants to prove that he can, so he takes a beer and says, ¡§I will make Ben drink this!¡¨ When they are inside Ben¡¦s shed, they see Ben is hibernating. Fog tries to wake him up, but still Ben doesn¡¦t move a muscle. In sudden range Benson drops the bottle and seizes the grass scythe hang on the wall. He jabs Ben again and again, shouting a while.
