Function of Education

The most important function of education at any level is to develop the personality of the individual and the significance of his life to himself and to others.” Author Grayson Kirk once spoke these words. The importance of this quote can be expressed by analyzing the book To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Brilliantly written by Lee, To Kill A Mockingbird can be focused on and can be analyzed on so many levels.
This book has been analyzed into many different themes. One theme present in To Kill A Mockingbird is the important focus on the significance of education in the story. Jem and Scout learn many things throughout the story. But how is it that Jem and Scout learn? By exploring two different examples from the book, one can see how education ties in with many key elements of the book and the significance of the ways Jem and Scout learn the lessons that follow them throughout the book.
