From the Past
Walking slowly through the double doors with chipped paint on their surface, I can smell the rusty odor on the door hinges, which make a squeaky sound. The rusty hinges make it hard to open the door. Walking farther in, I see a large tile floor covering the entire place.
The empty spaces in which tiles once laid are felt under my feet as I walk farther. Broken pieces of tile are scattered on the surface on the floor, leaving a white powder behind. Approximately half of the floor has broken tiles on its surface. On both sides are a set of bleachers.
Both set of bleachers extend lengthwise across the walls. The bleachers consist of about twenty rows, but some of these rows are missing in certain area and other are loose. The wood is rotting in many area of the bleachers, and trash is scattered across almost every row. Looking ...
