Freshman Year

My Freshman Season
Growing up, basketball was, and still is, the center of my life. I was four years old when I got my first basketball rim. By the age of five, I was soaring through the air like Jordan on my Playskool rim. Every single year, I played for my school. In elementary school, I was always in the starting lineup, always the focal point of every game; always had the ball in my hand. Junior High School was no different. Throughout these years, many people told me that I was a good player I was a team player who never got upset when things didn’t go my way. Because Junior High School was so easy, I thought High School basketball would be a piece of cake. But then came tryouts.
