The French Revolution was such an awe inspiring and vast reaching event that it directly or indirectly touched almost every human being on the continent of Europe. It was achieved not only with brute force in numbers but with ideas and the Philosophes who were spreading them throughout the masses. This revolt was bigger than just a common struggle between the noble and peasant class; it was a fight to change an entire government and all that France had stood for for hundreds of years prior to the event. The French Revolution was the most powerful and important event throughout European history because it was successful in ending the Absolutist rule in France, it was the first time the peasant class was able to change every aspect of its government, and it served as the beginning of a revolution which spread throughout Europe.
