Freedom

What is the definition of freedom? Some people think it is saying or doing whatever you want that does not physically harm a person or their property. Others think it is being able to live, say, and do anything without restrictions. Nowadays there is not as much lack of freedom as precedence in our democracy society, so can you imagine the horror the people must have felt when they could not do what they wanted because of the restrictions? However, the injury is not only facing the absence of freedom, but it also suffering the physical and mental torment.
In the nineteenth and early twentieth century, people who were not white underwent the restrictions by Americans’ law that hurt their hearts and minds, causing they did not have physical freedom. “ The School Days of Indian Girl” by Zitkala-Sa and “In the Land of the Free” by Sui Sin Far implied the problems of lack of physical freedom.
