Observation Form

1) I guess you could stretch the fact that the students read answers from a workbook assignment to the class to say that it meets National Standard 1.3 Students present information to an audience of listeners. It does meet NCSCOS objective 1.3 (7th grade), 1.2 (8th grade) -Answer questions using learned material orally and in writing.
Neither of these objectives were placed on the board. The project the students were working on incorporate the National Cultures Standards and the cultural objectives under the comparisons goal for NCSCOS.

2) The teacher never stated communicative objectives, she simply told the students they were going to go over a test and finish the workbook activity and then go to the library to finish their projects.

3) The class was on the block schedule, I’m not sure there was much of a plan for this class, beyond the activities mentioned above. She completed those activities and the students spent the last thirty minutes researchi...
