Summary of First language acquisition

First language acquisition has a process in which a language is learned. The speed in which the language takes place is amazing. The first process is the basic requirements. The child must be able to receive and send sounds in a language. The infant should be able to make ‘cooing’ and ‘babbling’ noises. The interaction with others through language is a crucial requirement.
All normal children develop language at the same time which is part of the acquisition schedule. This is because all normal children have the same basis of development of motor skills. The infant learns his or her language acquisitions by the behavior of his or her caretakers in the home environment. Someone who spends a lot of time interacting with a child is called caretaker speech. Caretaker speech is a characterized by sentence structures and a lot of repetition. Th...
