· The equipment must be suitable for the job, and only used for the operation to which it is suitable.
· Employers and self-employed must take into account the working conditions and hazards when selecting equipment and any additional risk posed by the use of that equipment.
· Protecting against specific hazards such as falling articles, overheating and explosion.
· Equipment must be maintained in efficient working orders.

B
· Appoint competent people (either from inside his organization or from outside) to help him devise and apply the measures he needs to take to comply with his duties under health and safety law.
· Provide his employees with information they can understand about health and safety matters.
· Make sure that his employees have adequate health and safety training and are capable enough at their jobs to avoid risks....
