Fireworks: A Dangerous Spectacle

It is late at night, and you see a big flash overhead, and a beautiful display of fireworks. You think to yourself, hey it isn’t the Fourth of July, what’s going on? Chances are, some kids are lighting fireworks off illegally, and not being very safe about it either. A lot of kids, and adults too, light off fireworks illegally in Minnesota. There are reasons that fireworks are illegal in Minnesota; they are dangerous and a fire hazard too. A lot of people say that Minnesota should change its law because people will light them off anyway, and fireworks aren’t that big a deal. Minnesota should not legalize fireworks because of the obvious health risks, and the states emergency costs that would rise because of this.
