Final Jeopardy

Throughout the novel FINAL JEOPARDY written by Linda Fairstein, the central conflict is clearly displayed by the death of Isabella Lascar at the very beginning of the novel. The only problem is that it is unknown who the 'real' victim was supposed to be. Isabella was staying at the secluded house of Alexandra Cooper. Who was the intended victim?
