Female Combatants

Warrant officer Laquitta Joseph had to join the engineering battalion combat team in order to see the front lines of war. Laquitta is barred by US law from ground combat. I do not believe that this situation is appropriate or that Laquitte should have to find such a secquitous route in order to participate on the front lines of combat.
Our government argues that the needs of the military must precedence over all other considerations. Title VII of Civil Rights Act of 1964, ensures that all individuals are treated equally with respect to civilian employment, but this does not apply to the military profession.
