Fashion: In the 1950s the fashion for guys were:
Straight-legged jeans, coloured collared shirts, short socks, polished pointed shoes and the preferred hairstyles were short back with side burns and some had crewcuts. For the girls they wore long tight skirts with twin sets or sweaters, bobby socks, flat shoes, scarves and the popular hairstyle was long and tied in a pony tail.
