Fahrenheit 451

The movie Pleasantville and the book Fahrenheit 451 have various similarities. The book and movie focused on various ideas such as censorship. Examples are Montag and the people of Pleasantville going through changes, the ignorance of each society, and violence because of censorship. Fahrenheit 451 and Pleasantville demonstrate how censorship can cause people and things to change.
Fahrenheit 451 and Pleasantville both showed people going through changes. In Fahrenheit 451 censorship of books gave Montag the curiosity to read them and risk his job and life. Reading books and deciding to keep them would change his life forever. Censorship led him to do all of this. In Pleasantville, the teenagers changed and that gave them the curiosity to seek different things to do at Lover’s Lane.
