The first faculty meeting of the 1998-99 academic year kicked off in whiz-bang fashion. Lunch was a very simple pizza from Pizza Perfecto (which, I have to say, was not quite perfecto) and soda from PsyCoke.

First, I'll quickly go through Bobby's announcements. For those of you in a hurry, there's really nothing interesting here, so skip on to the Core discussion.

1. The annual meeting is Sept. 3 in Rangos hall, after which we will be moving to Schotz (the faculty dining room) for the party. There will also be a DJ this year, so no more of the Schmaltz duo. The exciting thing, though, is that Bobby has "a lot of good zingers." I'm praying that she meant the kind that are cake with the cream filling that you get out of the vending machine.
