Factors that caused Hitler and Mussolini's rise to power

The Post-War Rise to Power
The twentieth century began with war and after war is when the problems began. After the War both Hitler and Mussolini used this time of turmoil to come to power. These leaders used the hate of the people, the political and economic instability of the country, and the fact that the leaders underestimated each of them in order to rise to the position of power. Both of these leaders knew what needed to be done in order to become the dictator of the country.
During this post-war time period Hitler and Mussolini both used the hate of the people in order to become great and powerful. The German people hated the Treaty of Versailles because it humiliated them and weakened them. The treaty greatly reduced their military strength and also weakened their economy by asking for reparation payments for the war.
