Explain why the Torah is important to Jews and how it is used in worship

There are many reasons why the Torah is important to Jews around the world. Orthodox Jews look upon the Torah as the definite word of G-d, they believe that G-d inspired and even dictated the books which make up the torah. Orthodox Jews also now believe that G-d speaks to them and communicated to Jews everywhere via the words in the Torah. The Torah had a function and it also continues to which makes it very important to all Jews. Reform Jews also believe that G-d communicated through the words of the torah
Another reason why Jews believe the Torah is very important is that it contains the basis of life, the moral and ethical codes and life’s meaning and purpose. The Torah also contains the basis of what Jews believe. This makes the Torah very important to all Jews as it tells them how to live their life and how to believe in G-d. These views are important as they are believed to be directly sanctioned by G-d making them holy and therefore important.
