excitment

The excitement, the anticipation, the nervousness--it all hit like a car careening out of control. It seemed overwhelming to me, not knowing whether I was ready for the obstacles that were awaiting me.
As I made my way to the field, it hit me: I was playing for the baseball city championship. I thought of my many days spent after school, going from class straight to practice everyday. I did this for six months, never having a day off and refusing ever to sit back and give anyone else the chance to improve.
Once I arrived in our dugout, I was a man on a mission. I went over to my coach and asked to talk to him in private. My coach greed and sent the other guys out on the field to begin warm-up. Once I was alone with my coach, I said to him that he needed to DH, have someone else...
