Evolution

1- The purpose of Yves Coppens’ research was to insert that missing link into the puzzle of where, when and why did we (Homo) diverge from the genus Pan. Human Lineage has always been controversial as to people’s beliefs on how and when events took place as they did. Yves also wanted to set events into perspective by putting them into chronological order which is a hard thing to do. With help from paleontologists, geologists, and other scientists Yves has made a fairly accurate guess as to when it was that we diverged from the genus Pan.

2- Yves Coppens came up with a hypothesis for why the species Hominidae and Panidae had never been together. The hypothesis he came up with was that about eight million years ago there was a tectonic crisis that produced the Rift Vall...
