Euthanisa

Euthanasia, as defined by the American Heritage dictionary of the English language, is the act or practice of ending the life of an individual suffering from a terminal illness or an incurable condition, as by lethal injection or the suspension of extraordinary medical treatment. Euthanasia is generally practiced in active or passive form. "Passive" Euthanasia is, "the ending of a patient's life by withholding or withdrawing life-sustaining treatments" (Nett 1). "Active" Euthanasia is the other form of euthanasia. It is defined as "causing a virtually painless death by means without which life would continue naturally" (Nett 1).
