Ethnic enclave - Chinatown

Chinatowns are not just cities of Chinese people; the story of Chinatown is the story of an American neighborhood that have surpassed many struggles and had fully throttle the success of the present day Chinatown. American had come a long way since the first settlers came and claimed this great land of opportunities as their own. As the years went by, there had been much more people of various ethnicities and backgrounds with desires to be a part of this golden land of open wealth. Among the settlers, the Chinese became a big part of the making in creating the culturally, economically and socially diverse country of today. Long before, the successes of the present day Chinatowns, the Chinese had endured many great struggles; segregation, discrimination and various disadvantages just because they were originally seemed as inferiors and threats to the previous “White” settlers.
