The term Euthanasia meaning good death, had it is origin in Greece. There is a difference between Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide. Euthanasia occurs when a third party other than the patient in question performs the last act that intentionally causes that patients death. On the other hand, if the person who dies performs the last act, assisted suicide has taken place. There are two types of Euthanasia, Active and Passive.
