“Bowling For Columbine” is a documentary about the United States that focuses on the state of the Union, and also on the violent soul of America. This is not a film about gun violence but rather a film about the fear that surrounds the United States. This documentary is Michael Moore’s journey through America in hopes of finding out why our pursuit of happiness is so riddled with violence. Throughout the film Michael Moore revisits many world tragedies like the Columbine school shooting, the Oklahoma City bombing. He also interviews tons of Americans from the president of the NRA, Charlton Heston, to a kid from Michigan who makes homemade napalm with The Anarchist's Cookbook. The one main reason why the film was titled “Bowling For Columbine” is that, after the massacre at Columbine, all the specialists and experts started blaming all the usual suspects that are blamed whenever a school shooting occurs—evil rock music, violent video games, and bad parenting, but failed to ...
