Enjoying Life

As a child, I enjoyed going to the Alabama National Fair. I would often watch wide-eyed at all the excitement that was going on around me. I would often participate in the many activities that were going on. All of this changed as I began grow older. I would visit only a few more times. I do not know if it was because I grew afraid of certain rides or because it was not interesting anymore. I began to wonder if was missing out on something in life.
At the age of twenty one, I found a really great job. I started working for the Police Department. I met new people and started doing new things. It was not until I volunteered to be a chaperone for the Police Explorers that my aspect on life would change. The Police Explorers are a group of kids between the ages of 14 and 19 who want to learn about police work. At the end of every school year the kids are rewarded for their participation and appreciation.
