The article from Newsweek describes how people work for free in their holidays. The article is written in July 17, 2000.

In these days it will be a miracle, because in these days we only think about our self, especially after the terrible thing that happened in September 2001. People in 2000 actually help people in underdeveloped countries for free in their holidays, which only describes that some people are fantastic human beings. I do not say, that some people are not helping now, but before 2001 people actually helped people without thinking that they are from another country, religion or culture.
These people who have worked in their holidays for free, could actually take on package tour, but they will rather help underdeveloped countries. I think this should be the spirit that all people should have. This only shows that people are really interesting in underdeveloped countries and will help these countries (not like some States who just are interested in money and territory)....
